Stanley L. Wood
CW5 (Ret) Stanley L. Wood’s first Army assignment was with C Co. 2/75th Ranger where he served four years and held the position of squad leader. In 1984 he became an Army Aviator.
In 1989 he joined Delta Company 1st Battalion 160th Special Operations Aviation Group (Airborne). While assigned with the 160th Stan served as an assault and attack flight lead, instructor pilot and aviation safety officer. During his time in the 160th Stan flew in support of Operation Desert Storm and the Battle of Mogadishu.
In 1995 Stan left the 160th and until his retirement in February of 2009 had several assignments, which included support of operations in the Balkans, Afghanistan and Iraq. During the last six years of active duty Stan spent considerable time developing and executing manned ISR tactics, techniques and procedures.
Stan retired from active duty in February with 30 years of service. He is currently a managing member of Fulcrum Concepts LLC, which provides problem solving for clients with tactical, technical and engineering needs.
